calling you out,
St. Patrick's day
Okay...so I have people e-mail me and tell me
that they visit my blog....but I never hear from you here,
and I want to! So here's the deal...I love
holidays, even the small ones. But I don't always
have great or many ideas for them....so for the upcoming
holiday I wanna hear from you! What do you
do for St. Patrick's day? Any fun traditions with
your family? Have a cute craft you wanna share?? I wanna hear it!
So please help me out with this one! St. Patrick's day is
one that we don't usually do much for and would like to change that!
HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT!
Give me some great ideas and I will feature them!
Hope I hear from a bunch of you and we can all share
some great St. Patty's day stuff!
Happy Making Laddy!
I have little kids 3 and 1...And I haven't done this but my sister-in-law does and invited my daughter to participate last year. She has a leprochan "visit" their house and he turns random things green like milk. He also leaves a trail of gold coins (chocolate) so the kids can try and catch that silly guy...it was so fun and the kids loved it!
We are VERY Irish in my house! St Patty's day is bigger than V-Day for us. We always have a big boiled dinner, and look through family pictures and share the story of "Coming to America." But my boy's favorite is a Leprechaun ALWAYS visits and hides a pot of gold someplace "springy" in our house. Here's a link to last year's picture http://carriesaid.blogspot.com/2010/03/st-patty-visitor.html .
It's really easy... just a small terra cotta pot painted black on the outside, gold on the inside and around the lip, a little green raffia and some gold candy coins! My boys LOVE it!
