My wall....what I've done with some of my platters

Okay, this has been done for a while and I'm just now getting to posting it.But hey....better late than never, right?

Okay so this is what I have done with a wall in my front room. This is the first thing I have done with this room. I don't feel much motivation cause we don't have furniture in there yet...but I think it is looking pretty cute now....furniture or not!

You like my temporary furniture in the corner for the time being??

I can't stand having nothing in there. LOL

So this whole wall minus the photos and "family" sticker is all

THRIFT!!!

All those platters and the frames are all from the DI!

Told ya I love me some platters! haha

And that's not even the half of them!

Okay...so here is what I did with the frames:

This is what they looked like before I got to them....not bad...but not ME!

They are all 11x14

This is after paint and distressing.

And this is what they look like close up after I stained them.

I forgot to do an after before all the pics were in them.

But aren't they cute?? Much more ME!

And so much cheaper than buying from the store.

for all 3 I spent $4.50...that's $1.50 per frame!

YEEEEHAWW!!!

So there you have it....what I have been wanting to do with

my platter obsession!

Alright....let's finish up this little Love Day thing! I've been super lazy in posting a love for each day...I'm sorry...so on today,

Okay...I believe we left off on Day five...so here is #6:

Gifts!

Okay, that sounds super snotty....but let me explain.

I love to give gifts! I love the feeling that i got someone

something that they will love. I also love it because

I like letting someone know that I love them and was

thinking about them. Make them feel special.

Also....let's all be honest...I think we all like being on the recieving end too...am I right or am I right?

Ha ha....do I have you confused???

Well good! I googled this one and loved this picture. Love #7 is

thrift shopping! haha This lady is shopping at a little place known

as Deseret Industries. It's a Utah thing. But this is SOOOO gonna be me when I'm an old lady! Love it!

BTW....Is it just me or does that DI seem SUPER tidy??? Where on Earth is that one?!?!?!?

I Heart Babies Breath....okay...not really the kind that is pictured above...although beautiful...I am talking about the kind that comes out of actual babies mouths! I love it! I am crazy, I know...but I could stick my nose in front of my kids mouths till they are about 18 months old, then it starts to get stinky...but man on man...

they should make a candle of that stuff! mmmm...! HA I'm nuts...please keep reading!

#9:

I love me some fabric! I am bad! If I go to walmart I have to look in the fabric section....if I see a cute fabric on the $1.50/yd pile then I get it! Even if i don't have a project for it! LOL It's a sickness. but hey, $1.50/yd....that's pretty dang good!

Two fabric stores that are a MUST....one located in Ogden is called

My Heritage Fabrics. Love this store...like L.O.V.E this store! A little more pricey, but so totally worth it to find a super yummy fabric.

Store #2 is in Bountiful. It's called Quilters Haven.

The name couldn't be a truer statement!

I could live there. To DIE for fabric everywhere you look. Fabric that you would NEVER find anywhere else! Again....a little more on the pricey side...but if you have a special project to do and want that special, FABULOUS fabric....these two stores are the places to look! PROMISE!

Another sickness I am owning up to is my scrapbook paper obsession. I don't really scrapbook, but I freaking love cute paper! I make other things with it. I like making cards or cute invites and stuff like that.

What the H-E-Double hockey sticks is up with Brad keeping that LAME, ANNOYING Michelle around??? Way to represent Utah ya big friggen jerk! LOL Okay....that was my trash tv talk for the week! I am bad....I SCREAM at the screen when I watch it. It's like I'm a guy watching football!

I love me some warmth, palm trees and beaches!

My dream is to go to Hawaii. I haven't ever been...but it sure seems like my kind of place! I even get giddy when we start seeing palm trees in St. George on our way to Vegas! LOL

Yes i do! I love any reason to throw a little or big bash!

Love it! Love to decorate for it. Love to make yummy food for it. Love to have people over for it! Just love it.

Hence why I love Kara's Pary Ideas so much! If it were an actual place that I could go....it would be just like, if not better, than Disneyland for me!

Day two. I heart....

Okay...today I'm going to share my love of platters and vases.

It's kind of a sickness really. I see something I love at the DI and I can't NOT get it. But hey....it's from the DI so it's okay...right???

So here are a few of my displays in my house....

FYI: Decorating with candy isn't really a good idea. If you

don't do this now....don't start...it's an addiction and you just can't stop once you've started! :)

This is on the dining table if you couldn't tell.

And above my cabinets in my kitchen.....a few of those I spray painted. I want to paint more when spring comes...I don't think that spray paint will cooperate in this single digit weather! BOOO!

{p.s. these cabinets are also going to be recieving a makeover in the future....I just don't know if it's the near or distant future.}

And on my counter....these vases/bottles were purchased with something else in mind...I don't know if I will keep them like this or do what I origionally wanted to do with them...hmmm...

.

So there you have it. I heart platters and vases....I have a bunch more platters, but I have something in mind for them that I will share when it happens! EEEKK!

thrift store find.....$10!!!

I found this lovely piece at the thrift store. It's an old record player. YESSS!!! It reminded me of an old one we had when I was growing up. I looked at the price and about died!!! It was only $10!!! Normally I'm a good little wife and call the hubbs to see what he thinks first...but I didn't care what he thought this time!! I WAS leaving with that record player! Soooo....here it is....kinda before....this is mid-prime.

remember from the first picture the ugly material in the front?? Well, it smelled a bit of cigarette smoke and that nasty stuff was the main culprit...so it had to go! Thank heavens!
